Brian Ward – A Life of Dedication, Achievement, and Sports Passion
Born in 1959 in Brooklyn, New York, Brian Ward is the eldest of six children in a family with strong ties to both the U.S. and Ireland. His mother, raised in County Louth, Ireland, instilled in him a sense of hard work and resilience that would shape his future. The Ward family moved to Long Island during Brian’s early years, where he spent much of his childhood before relocating to Albany, New York, in 1974.
Brian’s academic journey took him to Russell Sage College, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree. His drive and determination were evident from a young age, and upon graduating, he dove into a career in real estate. In 1986, Brian obtained his real estate license, marking the beginning of a successful and enduring career in the industry.
A significant chapter in Brian’s life began in 1988, when he married his best friend, Deborah Ham. Together, they built a life filled with love, adventure, and a shared passion for family. Over the years, they raised two children—Caitlin, 35, and Kyle, 32—and have watched them grow into accomplished individuals. Brian and Deborah are also proud grandparents to two grandsons: Ryan (RJ), 7 years old, and Jaxon, 3 years old.
Brian’s career in real estate has been nothing short of remarkable. He has sold over 1,000 homes in the Capital District of New York, earning a reputation for his dedication to clients and his deep understanding of the local market. His experience and commitment have made him a respected figure in the industry, known for providing outstanding service and achieving exceptional results.
A proud graduate of Cardinal McCloskey Memorial High School in 1977, Brian values education and community, often reflecting on the importance of those early years in shaping his character.
Outside of work, Brian enjoys spending quality time with his wife, Deborah, whether it's enjoying dinner and music dates or relaxing on the beach during vacations. Family remains at the heart of his life, and he treasures the time spent with his children and grandchildren.
An avid sports enthusiast, Brian is a lifelong fan of New York’s top teams, including the NY Football Giants, NY Yankees, NY Rangers, and NY Knicks. He still plays basketball in a senior league, demonstrating his commitment to staying active and healthy. Whether it’s cheering on his teams or playing the game himself, sports have always been a significant part of Brian’s life.
Today, Brian continues to live in Albany, where he remains active in both his professional and personal life, always looking forward to the next chapter in his remarkable journey.
